All Smiles!

Lincoln has started smiling and it is such a wonderful feeling for him to see my face and light up with a big smile and an attempt to laugh. I have been able to catch a few of these smiles but as soon as I put the camera up to take a picture his gaze is completely focused on the camera and there is no getting his attention :)

He takes after his daddy's hair when he wakes up in the morning!

Uncle Blake and Aunt Stancy bought him these cute bear pj's and bear hat! It has actually been cold enough in Houston for him to wear it!
He also thinks he is already big enough to walk! He loves to stand up... those little muscular legs, which his daddy say come from him ;)

The funniest thing he is doing lately is he is starting to find his own voice. He lets out this wail like it is painful to make any noise! Like I said he always knows when there is a camera around so this is the best I could get, but he normally entertains himself for a good 45 minutes to an hour!

We had a Christmas retreat for the youth group this weekend and it went very well! The theme was from Christmas to the Cross. Christ came as a mere babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and he came knowing full well that he would die for the sins of God's people. I pray that this Christmas season, you would marvel at the fact that God sent His only son to die.  Without Christ's birth, death, and resurrection we have no hope!

1 John 4:9-10 "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."
