*First in January we found out we were expecting our first little bundle of joy!

We drove 10 hours in a huge snow storm to Amarillo as soon as we could to share the news in person with our families. Of course they were all overjoyed! We affectionately called him "Poppy" until we found out if it was a boy or a girl! We were blessed to find out it was a he! After throwing around a couple of names, my favorite being Lincoln, Joshua started calling him Lincoln and it stuck!

*In May I was trying to work lots of overtime in hopes to save for me to stay home while Joshua finished school in the fall, but the LORD had different plans for us! Joshua got a call at the end of the month from a man named Mark from Houston Northwest Church. He told Joshua that our dear friend Dr. Lee had given him his name for a youth pastor position and wanted us there in June. This was not even on our radar! We thought he would graduate in December and then we would start looking for a church that needed a pastor. But after much prayer and several battles fought, this is where we felt the LORD was calling us to serve him. Joshua finished up his summer class and then we moved him to Houston. I lived in Fort worth and traveled back and forth until July. I was not prepared to stop working at a job I loved but knew that I must trust the Father knowing he had an even greater job for me! So I finally was reunited with living with my husband again and we started establishing our new home in the great Houston Texas!
The LORD was so gracious to enable us to spend 3 weeks in Europe with my family!

We spent a week in the beautiful Ireland.

The Cliffs of Moher were breathtaking, showing how small we are and how great our God is! The country side was adorable and the small villages with the fresh food and flower markets that had so many cute little red head children were always so fun! I must admit I could do without Dublin, it was not my favorite!
We then ventured to Germany to visit our sweet friends the Klopps!

This is also where we started our tour of several Reformation sites. We are so grateful for the men of God whose part in church history has allowed us to be where we are today! Soli Deo Gloria!
Then on to Switzerland! Talk about beautiful! All the magnificent architecture and
history we saw in Europe cannot compare to the craftsmanship of the Creator!

Our last two stops were Paris and London! I wish I had kept up with the blog so you guys could see all the wonderful pictures... having Stancy and my Mom there, our own personal and wonderul photographers, made for so many great shots! But I do not want to do that to you! :)

So this is the start to our life changing events. The most recent and obviously my most favorite will be in the blogs to come! Give me some time, I have a lot of catching up to do and must practice discipline in blogging!
As the Christmas season starts, our prayer for you is that you will worship with us the King who came as a babe to die for the sins of man!
Love this! Can't wait to read more.
